With the centennial of America’s involvement in World War I, this coming Veteran’s Day is extra special. Contributions to WWI are being celebrated and rediscovered by many institutions. Some of the history of North Carolina A&T State University from that time was lost or forgotten.
With the help of genealogical research the university archives in the F. D. Bluford Library has been able to reconstruct the stories of several faculty, staff and alumni who risked their lives in the service. This will be a one-hour session in the Bluford Library to share stories and research techniques of how genealogy has uncovered their stories.
A display of photographs and other historical items will be set up outside of the presentation area. There will also be a introduction to our new World War I LibGuide.
The library building is currently closed to the public during the university's Winter Break until Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Please use our online services.
