Join the global celebration! F.D. Bluford Library will be hosting events to celebrate Open Access Week 2014. Join us on October 21, 2014 for stimulating conversations on the impact and benefits of open data, research, and scholarship.

Are you wondering what is the big deal with open access? How can open access publishing and repositories benefit you and your scholarship?

Beth Bernhardt, Assistant Dean for Collection Management and Scholarly Communications for the University Libraries, UNCGBeth Bernhardt , Assistant Dean for Collection Management and Scholarly Communications at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, will give a talk on open access, its role in academia, and share success stories of faculty and researchers participating in the open access movement. F.D. Bluford librarians will also discuss new and exciting services that support open scholarship and data.

Light refreshments will be served.
