Barnes Hall
Barnes Hall
Barnes Hall was constructed in 1967 and named for Boisey W. Barnes, an alumnus and a member of the faculty in technical agriculture. Dr. Barnes later earned a dental science degree and practiced dentistry in the city of Greensboro, NC for 40 years.
Benbow Hall
Benbow Hall
Benbow Hall is named for W.D.C. Benbow, a physician. It houses the Department of Human Environment and Family Science, formerly known as the Department of Home Economics. Benbow Hall was constructed in 1953.
Campbell Hall
Campbell Hall
This building constructed in 1955 houses the Army and Air force Reserve Office Training Corps, R.O.T.C. It is named for Captain Robert Campbell who returned to the campus after combat in World War I. Captain Campbell managed Murphy Hall when it was the dining facility on A&T’s campus.
Carver Hall
Carver Hall
Carver Hall was constructed in 1955 and named for George Washington Carver. It is the former home of the School of Agriculture but now houses the Natural Science and Environmental Design Department.
Cherry Hall
Cherry Hall
Cherry Hall constructed in 1953 was once the home of the School of Engineering. It is named for R. Gregg Cherry, a former Governor of North Carolina. Engineering and computer science classes are taught in Cherry Hall.
Coltrane Hall
Coltrane Hall
Coltrane Hall constructed in 1950 houses the Agricultural Extension Service and was named for David S. Coltrane who was once assistant director of the budget for the state of North Carolina.
Craig Hall
Craig Hall
Craig Hall was constructed in 2003 and dedicated on April 14, 2004. It is named for Quiester Craig, dean of the School of Business and Economics. Dean Craig was hired as professor of accounting and dean of A&T's business school in 1972. Craig Hall is the B side of the New Classroom Building which is located on Benbow St.
Frazier Hall
Frazier Hall
The music program and the visual arts program are housed in Frazier Hall. This building, constructed in 1960, is named for Robert H. Frazier, an attorney and a former chair of the board of tustees at A&T.
Graham Hall
Graham Hall
Constructed in 1939, Graham Hall once housed business, industrial education and the computer science center. It is now closed for renovations.
Hines Hall
Hines Hall
Hines Hall was constructed in 1950 and was the home of the chemistry department until 2006. It was named for Charles A. Hines, chairman of the A&T Board of Trustees for many years and an attorney and judge in the city of Greensboro. Hines Hall is now closed for renovations.
Hodgin Hall
Hodgin Hall
Hodgin Hall, named for E. Ray Hodgin, a former treasurer and business manager of A&T, was constructed in 1954 and is the home of the School of Education and the Center for Student Success.
Marteena Hall
Marteena Hall
The departments of mathematics and physics and the GAMSEC program are housed in Marteena. It is named after the former long time dean of engineering, Dr. Jerald M. Marteena. Marteena Hall was constructed in 1980.
McNair Hall
McNair Hall
McNair Hall is named for Dr. Ronald E. McNair, A&T graduate, astronaut and physicist. Ron McNair will be remembered as one of the seven astronauts who died in the space shuttle Challenger accident on January 28, 1986. McNair Hall houses the College of Engineering which was constructed in 1987.
Merrick Hall
Merrick Hall
Merrick Hall houses faculties for accounting, business administration, business education, economics and transportation. The building constructed in 1968 is named for Edward R. Merrick, an alumnus who left after graduation to become the treasurer of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company in Durham, North Carolina.
New Science Building
New Science Building
The New Science Building houses the departments of psychology and chemistry. It was constructed in 2006 and dedicated on Friday, April 7, 2006.
Noble Hall
Noble Hall
Noble Hall was constructed in 1923 and named for Marcus C. S. Noble who served for several decades as chair of the Board of Trustees at A&T College. Noble Hall is the home of the School of Nursing.
Price Hall
Price Hall
Julian Price Hall, constructed in 1952, once housed the departments of of industrial education and technology, safety and driver education, photography and laboratories for trades and industrial technology. It is now connected to Smith Hall where the School of Technology is located. Radio station WNAA is in the Price Hall building.
Smith Hall
Smith Hall
The Samuel Cooper and Angeline Smith Hall houses the School of Technology and was constructed in 1998. Dr. Samuel Cooper Smith was the dean of the Technical Institute of A&T from 1951 until 1967.
Sockwell Hall
Sockwell Hall
Sockwell Hall was constructed in 1961 and named for a former member of the A&T Board of Trustees who was also an outstanding farmer from Alamance County. The department of bioenvironmental engineering is located in Sockwell Hall.
Webb Hall
Webb Hall
Webb Animal Science Hall was completed in 1982 and named for Burleigh Carlyle Webb, a former dean of the School of Agriculture. Webb Hall serves as an educational and research facility for laboratory animal science and agriculture.
