| Doctoral Students Borrowing Privileges |

| Regulations |
- Doctoral students may check out an unlimited number of books upon presentation of a valid University identification card at the circulation desk.
- Borrowing privileges are not transferable.
- Borrowers are responsible for items borrowed until returned to the library.
- For lost or damaged materials, patron must pay replacement cost plus a $15.00 processing fee.
- No renewals are allowed.

| Billing/Lost Status |
- If library materials are not returned 30 days after the due date; the materials will be presumed lost and all library privileges will be blocked.
The student will also be charged the replacement cost plus a $15.00 non-refundable processing fee. If the book is returned after the item goes lost, the student will
only be responsible for the $15.00 billing fee and will received a credit slip for the remaining balance.
- Please submit payment to Cashier’s Office located in the Dowdy Administration Building.
- A receipt of payment must be shown at the library’s circulation desk to clear the patron’s account.

| Loan Periods |
- Books(Main Collection & Black Studies) - 1 semester
- Reserve Materials - 2 hours, overnight, 3 days or 1 week
- Audiovisuals - 3 days
- Government Documents - 1 week
- Laptops - 4 hours (Library Use Only), 3 days (Out of Library Use)
- Learning Resource Center (LRC) - Books circulate for a period of 3 weeks during the Fall/Spring semesters; 2 weeks during the Summer semester.
Professional materials including textbooks, vertical files, and curriculum guides circulate for in-house use only.

| Recall |
|
If an item is requested by another patron, a recall notice will be generated. Materials must be
returned to the library within twenty-four (24) hours of receipts of the notice. Failure to return a recalled book
within ten(10) days will result in a fine of $10.00/up to a maximum of $100.00.

| Restrictions |
|
Overdue fines and lost book charges must be paid before students are allowed to: checkout additional library materials,
register for classes, receive transcripts from the University, participate in commencement exercise.
