| Regulations |
- Faculty/staff may check out an unlimited number of books upon presentation of a valid University identification card
at the access service desk.
- Borrowing privileges are not transferable.
- Borrowers are responsible for items borrowed until returned to the library.
- Lost or damaged materials must be replaced at current replacement costs plus processing.
- Materials can be borrowed for a semester and may be renewed only once for an additional semester by
telephone, online or in person. Telephone renewals should be made on or before the due date.

| If Library materials are not returned 60 days after the due date, the materials will be presumed lost and
all library privileges will be blocked.
The faculty/staff member will be charged the replacement cost plus a $15.00 non-refundable billing fee.
If books are returned after payment has been made, there are no refunds given.

| Loan Periods |
- Books(Main Collection & Black Studies) - 1 semester
- Reserve Materials - 2 hours, overnight, 3 days or 1 week
- Audiovisuals - 3 days
- Government Documents - 1 week
- Laptops - 4 hours (Library Use Only), 3 days (Out of Library Use)
- Learning Resource Center (LRC) - Books circulate for a period of 3 weeks during the Fall/Spring semesters; 2 weeks during the Summer semester.
Professional materials including textbooks, vertical files, and curriculum guides circulate for in-house use only.
- Periodicals - Library Use Only
- Reference Materials - Library Use Only
- Special Collections/Archives - Library Use Only

| Recall |
| Implementation of the circulation policies as stated is dependent upon a good recall system. Therefore it is imperative that all faculty and staff respond to recall
notices. If an item is requested by another patron, a recall notice will be generated. Faculty/Staff are requested to return the material to the library within twenty-four (24) hours of
receipt of the notice. Failure to return a recalled book within ten (10) days will result in a fine of $10.00/day up to a max of $100.00.

| Other Privileges |
- Faculty and staff may use interlibrary loan to borrow materials unavailable at F.D. Bluford Library.
- Faculty may place books on reserve for student use.
