Borrowing Privileges
 
  • Undergraduate/Graduate Students
    When borrowing materials, undergraduate and graduate students must present a valid University identification Card at the circulation desk.  The checkout limit for: Undergraduate – Ten (10) books; Graduate & Students in the Honors Program – Twenty (20) books.
  • Doctoral Students
    Doctoral students may check out an unlimited number of books upon presentation of a valid University identification card at the circulation desk.
  • Distance Education Students
    Distance education students may request library materials held in or by the F. D. Bluford Library, as well as materials held by other libraries.
  • Faculty/Staff
    Faculty/staff may check out an unlimited number of books upon presentation of a valid University identification card at the access service desk.
  • Non-University Borrowers
    Non-university borrowers include special borrowers, consortium students, local college students and staff, secondary school students, and the general public with certain borrowing guidelines.
  • Cooperative Direct Borrowing Agreement
    This agreement brings together the participating libraries of the constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina in a cooperative direct borrowing program that constitutes one aspect of a policy of broad sharing of library resources.
