| Group Study Rooms Policy |

F. D. Bluford Library provides a limited number of group study rooms for use by North Carolina
Agricultural and Technical State University students, staff and faculty. A group study room
is designed for use by 4 to 8 persons for academic study, tutoring sessions or class preparation.
Group study rooms may not be used for meetings.

| Assignments |

Group study room assignments are made at the Security or Access Services Desk on a first-come,
first-served basis. Room assignments are made for a two-hour period. The person assuming
responsibility for the room must complete the assignment form.

| Regulations |
- Noise should be kept at a minimum. Discussions should not disturb
patrons in the reading rooms outside the group study. Audio-visual (radio, etc.) use is confined
to the Learning Resources Center on the lower level.
- Rooms should not be used by more than the designated number of persons.
Additional chairs should not be brought into the room and furniture should remain as is. Rooms should be left
in an orderly condition.
- Library books utilized during the study session, if not charged out,
should be returned to the Access Services Desk.
- Requests must be made in person at the time of need. Advance reservations are not accepted.
- The assigned group is responsible for any evidence of misuse, vandalism, damage to furniture, carpet, etc. or violation of these regulations.
- No food, beverage or smoking is allowed in the library.
