Home>Library Information>Policies MP3 Players Checkout Policy   Bluford Library has a new technology service available to its patrons. Three (3) MP3 players are available for checkout by N.C. A&T patrons (faculty, students, and staff). Patrons may download and manage digital content such as audio books, podcasts, etc. The MP3 players may be checked out for a three (3) week loan period. They cannot be renewed or immediately re-checked out upon return. The MP3 players must be returned in person. Patrons will be responsible for any damages or fees to the player if placed in the book drop or other unsecured locations. (See fines and fees below)   Please note upon return of the MP3 player: Circulation staff will fill out a check-list to confirm all components are present. The player will be examined by the Reference Dept. (for maintenance purposes) and will not be available for checkout until the next business day. All files held on the player will be deleted at check-in (no exceptions) Fines and Fees: Damaged MP3 players or parts are subject to full charge. The cost of the MP3 player and parts include: MP3 Player = value $249.99 Power cord = value $29.99 SYNC adapter = value $17.99 USB cable = value $9.99 Earbuds (head phones) = value $9.99 Player pouch = value $9.99 Late fees for the MP3 players are $1.00 per day after the due date. If the MP3 players are not returned within thirty days after the due date, it will be presumed lost and all library privileges will be blocked and suspended. The patron will also be charged the replacement cost plus a $15.00 non-refundable processing fee.   Please Note: Fines may be assessed after the time of check-in if mechanical problems are found during the examination and file-deletion process.   Bluford Library does not guarantee technical support, mediation, or training in using the player.
