Congratulations to Graduating F.D. Bluford Library Employees

Congratulations to our graduating employees at F.D. Bluford Library! These people excelled at navigating work and school to complete their degrees. We are proud of their achievements and look forward to how their new areas of expertise and their experience at F.D. Bluford Library will help grow their careers. Aggies Do!

Bobby Bynum:

Mr. Bynum works as a University Library Technician in Access Services, and he will graduate with his Associate degree in General Education this May. He will start his next degree at North Carolina A&T State University. His long-term goal is to complete his master's in library science. He would like to thank his colleagues.

Carlos Grooms:

Mr. Grooms has worked at F.D. Bluford Library for more than ten years and will be graduating this year with a Master’s in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. He currently serves as a University Library Technician in the Research, Instruction and Engagement Services Department. When asked about how working at F.D. Bluford Library helped him achieve his goals, Mr. Grooms wrote, “Bluford Library and the work we do here inspired me to pursue an MLS degree. Bluford Library has several unique items representing the history and legacy of students fighting for social justice and civil rights. Digital Librarianship allows us to preserve those special collections and store them away safely while bringing the community closer to those same objects within a digital space.”

Ronique Rodgers:

Ms. Rogers works as a University Library Technician in the Bibliographic Metadata and Discovery Services Department. She will also be graduating from North Carolina A&T State University with a Master of Science in Adult Education this May. She plans to continue working at Bluford Library and with her community to help improve the lives of underrepresented families.

Anna White:

While Ms. White was not working at F.D. Bluford library as a University Library Technician in the Access Services and RIES, she attended classes at East Carolina University and earned a Master's in Library Science specializing in Academic Libraries. She hopes to continue working with university students and helping with research. When asked about how working at F.D. Bluford Library helped her achieve her goals, Ms. White wrote, “I did my final internship with Bluford Library, and I learned so much about leadership and the profession in general by interviewing the librarians I work with.” She will graduate with a 4.0 GPA.
