24/7 Virtual Reference

NCknows is a chat service staffed by librarians from throughout the country, not just A&T.

The virtual librarian cannot help with questions about the campus, particular teachers, or other topics specific to A&T.    However, the librarian that chats with you will be a research professional that can help you find sources or learn to use one of the research databases available on campus for finding e-books or articles.

NCknows is a statewide library pilot project providing virtual reference services in libraries throughout North Carolina. Using NCknows allows you to chat in real-time with a librarian who will attempt to give you help with your question.

One-on-One Instruction

For face to face help, patrons are encouraged to come to the Reference Desk on the first floor of the library. A reference librarian will be pleased to help you there.

If you have difficulty using the library resources and want to schedule a time for a librarian to assist you one-on-one with your research, we also provide the Bluford Individualized Instruction Program.

To make an appointment for individualized instruction please call or come by the Reference desk to discuss scheduling. We require 24-hour notice to prepare so that we can give you the best possible assistance.
