Course related library instruction is designed to introduce
students to library research strategies and the basic information
sources available for a particular class or subject. The
librarian works with the classroom instructor and develops
an instructional session or sessions to meet the specific
needs of the class. Course related library instruction is
one of the most effective ways of teaching students to use
library materials and resources. The success is due to the
fact they supplement subject-oriented training received in
the classroom with instruction in information resources and
search techniques.

already been reserved you will be notified of an alternate
location. Classes can also be taught in classrooms or
departmental labs that have suitable facilities for
library instruction.
