Reserve a Study Room

You can reserve a study/collaboration room on the library's second floor.

Study Room Use

Group and Individual Study Rooms are available to currently enrolled students and current University faculty and staff. Study rooms may only be reserved for legitimate academic purposes that support the instruction, research, and study needs of the University community. To ensure the best experience for all library visitors, we ask that you observe the following regulations when reserving and using study rooms. Using study rooms for unauthorized activities is prohibited and may result in the immediate loss of study room borrowing privileges.


When unoccupied or reserved, group and individual study rooms are available to be checked out for two-hour blocks on a first-come, first-served basis by visiting the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library.

Advance Room Reservations

All advance reservations must be placed via the online system, not through email, by phone, or in person.

  • An active university email is required to make reservations in the online system.
  • Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance and must be made at least 2 hours in advance.
  • No more than two advance reservations allowed per week.
  • Group study rooms automatically revert to first come, first serve use if at least 2 members are not present 15 minutes after scheduled reservation time.
  • ALL advance reservations are cancelled 15 minutes after scheduled reservation time if not checked out by the patron who reserved it.
  • Study room users without advance reservations must vacate the room when requested by a group with valid proof of an advance reservation. Example(s) of valid proof; confirmation email.

Usage Rules

  1. Report missing or damaged technology and equipment immediately. You may call the Circulation Desk at: (336) 285-4164.
  2. Other than bottled water, no food, drinks, or smoking of any kind is allowed in the rooms.
  3. Furnishings from other parts of the library may not be brought into the rooms without library permission. For inquiries, you may call the Circulation Desk at: (336) 285-4164.
  4. Leave the room neat and clean and in the condition that you found it.
  5. Rooms are not sound proof; conversations and discussions should be held at moderate noise levels so as not to disturb patrons in adjoining rooms or in the surrounding area.
  6. Windows and doors may not be obstructed.
  7. Exit the room when your time is up and return the key to the front desk. All members of the group must exit the room before the key is turned in.
  8. During periods when demand exceeds supply, room reservations may not be renewed.
  9. Rooms must be vacated 15 minutes before closing.

Fines & Fees

  • Lost key replacement fee - $35.00
  • $1/hr fine for past due room key

Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm
Saturday 1 to 5pm
Aggie OneCard required for entry.
The library will be closed Sunday, May 30 and Monday, May 31 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.
