The Search Request Service provides assistance for patrons in locating or identifying library materials that may be mis-shelved or missing from the library collection.
A patron that is unable to locate materials listed "AVAILABLE" in the Online Public Access Catalog will be assisted by the circulation staff in conducting a more extensive search. If the materials can not be found immediately, the patron must fill out a Search Request card at the Circulation desk. The search request must include:

These requests are checked in the public catalog and on the shelf daily. The search will continue until the item is either found or submitted to collection development staff for possible replacement.
The found item will be dated and held on the hold shelf for seven (7) days and then returned to the STACKS if not picked up.
