Bluford Library offers workshops to help you succeed here at A&T.

Individualized Instruction

You may sign up for individual instruction sessions for anything from how to use library resources to how to get started on your research paper or project.

Workshop: Library Research 101 (Tue. 09-02-2014 @ 11am)

A lot of students and faculty have experience with the Internet and standard search engines, but not everyone knows there's a deeper, invisible web that can't be freely accessed even through Google. This workshop will assist participants with database selection and searching, identifying search terms and basic citation skills. (Approximately 50 minutes)

Workshop: Copyright or Copywrong? (Wed. 09-10-2014 @ 2pm)

Freeware vs. Shareware. Public Domain vs. Open-Source.  Plagiarism vs. Citing. With all of information available, what is right and what is wrong in the world of copyright laws and fair use?  This workshop will help you navigate current legislation and common practices to avoid plagiarism. Many students find the term used in their classes but never explained.
