With EndNote X9®, students, faculty, staff and other members of the N.C. A&T community will learn how this citation management software can reduce the time and effort needed to produce a reference list and/or place proper in-text citations in a paper for a class assignment, Master's Thesis, PhD Dissertation, journal article, and/or grant proposal. Specific skills include:

  • Importing & saving citations from databases.
  • Attaching PDFs to these citations.
  • Inserting citations directly into word processing software (e.g. Pages or Word) using one of over 6,000 citation styles.
  • Exporting from EndNote to create a "Quick Bibliography"
  • Organizing references.

Under current software licensing arrangements, members of the N.C. A&T community may receive one copy of the EndNote® installation software for home use. You must provide your own USB flash drive or other external storage device. Copying the installation files can be done after this workshop or during the hours that the Reference Desk is open on the first floor of the library.  Please ask about alternatives for online learning.
